Private Wealth Manager
My journey into the investment world started back in high school. I was in Mr. Woodring’s Social Studies class at Smithsburg High School and he was teaching us about the stock market. He explained that we could own a piece of a company by purchasing a share of their stock. I found it fascinating that I could potentially own of piece of stock that could appreciate in value. From that point on, I knew I wanted to be in the financial services industry where I could help people prosper by investing in our economy. After high school, I attended HCC for 2 years, then transferred to Mount St. Mary’s University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business while working part time at Home Federal Bank. During my time at Mount St. Mary’s I was a member of the Finance Club. My fondest memory of that Club was getting to go to New York City for the day and tour the trading floor of a large brokerage firm in Tower One of the World Trade Center. Little did I know that day would mean so much more years later.
After graduating MSM in 1997, I continued working at the bank full time in our Investment Center where I became securities licensed in late 1997 and here I am, 20 years later! Every day is a day filled with opportunities to learn more and educate others. My passion is helping others become debt free and financially independent through proper planning and discipline.
Taking care of my clients has always come naturally to me. I have always loved helping our clients with their problems and concerns. I have learned that being a good financial advisor means to listen. Listen to what our clients need and want. Listen to what their goals and dreams are, as well as their fears and obstacles. Then through education, discussion and discipline, we come up with a plan to put those dreams into action.
Being a financial advisor is a full-time job, however my number one, favorite job is being a wife and mother. I live in Waynesboro, PA with my husband, Jeff, our 2 boys, Kyle and Adam and 2 boxer dogs, Sophie and Piper. Kyle & Adam are active in sports so when I’m not working I am likely driving the boys to either lacrosse or football practice. In addition to being wife, mom, chauffer, cook and laundry lady, I am also the Vice President of the Waynesboro Stallions Youth Football Organization and a member of the Frederick County chapter of the Impact Club.
